A Short Tale About Green Pastures

Field of Greens
Where did her horse go?
She came out to the barn where he spends the night in his stall but he wasn't there. Not good.
Then she walked out to his paddock near the barn and not seeing him there, she continued walking toward his favorite pasture to see if somehow he managed to get out of his stall, walk past his paddock, and make his way out to the big pasture, his favorite place to be.
Well, wouldn't you know it - there, he was, quietly and contentedly grazing in the early morning light as if he had never left the barn, but had remained settled into the world of grass to munch on, trees to stand under, able to explore every inch of land as he listened to all the sounds this lovely space of freedom has to offer.
One of those sounds he now heard was her quietly walking up to him. Her heart was filled with thanks that he was safe and content and he was glad she had come to see him.
Hmm ... he reminded her of herself just then - in the way she felt when she had gone to her art studio to quietly enjoy her own unique pasture, a studio kind of pasture that welcomed creativity, freedom, and growth. The creative process itself was a pasture for her artistic soul.
She loved on him for awhile, petting him softly, glad she had found him where he loved to be most. And she felt again her connection to her own "pasture", which is art her studio where paints, colors, and canvases welcome her art spirit every time she goes there to explore the natural world through painting, in a way similar to her horse exploring the natural world through his grazing.
The Lord leads and we must follow, trusting in his direction and purpose for our lives.
Psalm 23: 1-2 "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake
